"After trying so many things that did not help my wife, Nicole, I remember thinking that I would do anything I could to help my bride get well, but felt so helpless not knowing what to do to help her." - Allan Blain
We felt confused, frustrated, and helpless not knowing what to do to help Nicole. The year was 2000. Thankfully, we learned some nutritional information that changed the course of our family's future, and became the catalyst for us to begin measurable and sustainable change not only for my wife, Nicole, but for our entire family's health as well.
After implementing some of the changes in our diets that we had learned about, Nicole, who had previously been diagnosed with chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and was also struggling with severe insomnia, depression, hormonal imbalance, and IBS, experienced her body healing itself of each and everyone one of those issues over the six months that followed. We simply made some dietary changes and implemented a supplement program that consisted of some whole-food concentrated extracts that provided her body the needed resources to repair and heal.
Since that time, for 20 years now, we have devoted ourselves to health; to the health of ourselves first of all (realizing we can't help others if we don't have our own health), to our six children's health and to other's health as well.
For the first several years health, fitness and nutrition was what I would call a hobby (since it didn't pay well), but I was learning, growing, and getting healthier. After becoming more serious about what we now do, by 2016, being a health and leadership coach had grown to the point of generating a full-time income for our large family.
We couldn't be happier now to wake up each and every day knowing that what we do to help others improve their health, impacts their lives in such meaningful ways.
On a more personal note, Nicole and I are college sweethearts and have been married for 28 years. We are 48 years young (and feel like we are 28...okay, maybe 38 but we feel great). We've been blessed with six children ranging in age from 13-25. Three are grown and three are still living at home.
Second only to my relationship with Jesus, Nicole is my highest priority. In addition to family time we make it a priority to have weekly date nights, quarterly getaways, and at least one larger trip (if not more) each year without the children.
Our three favorite destinations so far (that we've traveled to without our children) have been:
We also love being active as family with our children. We live on a lake in the Nashville, Tennessee area, so when we are not watching one of their volleyball, basketball and soccer games, we like to get out on the lake for some water sport activities. We also love to travel with them, and because we both work together from home in the health and wellness industry, we are able to take plenty of trips as a family as well. One of those trips, in 2017, was a two-month road trip around the entire U.S. in our 40-foot R.V. We made some incredible, lifetime memories together.
On one of our most recent family trips, we took our children, along with several other families in our team, on a "Serving is Living" trip to Costa Rica for 8 days. We desire that our children learn that is truly is better to give that to receive.
We love to run, workout at the gym, compete in road races and triathlons, and absolutely love anything water related... Skiing, wakeboarding, surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, etc.
